Tips and advice on Flat Head Syndrome (Plagiocephaly):

It is medically advised that babies are placed on their back while they rest as this is safest position for them. This position can create pressure on the back of their head and so Flat Head Syndrome may become an issue. Young babies when they rest can have a side which they prefer this means that natural pressure can be put and focused on one side of their head.

Here are some extra and simple ways to help manage this:
Re-position your baby's head while they are resting, so that sometimes they face left and sometimes they face right. So very gently switching the side they face.
When your baby is ready, start practicing Tummy Time with them, this helps strengthen their shoulder and neck muscles for better control of their head.

Washing Instructions:
The pillow insert should be removed from the outer pillow case and occasionally be washed gently by hand using a mild detergent at 40 degrees or less. Gently squeeze excess water from the pillow and allow to dry flat. 
Do not machine wash or tumble dry.

Outer pillow case can be machine washed at 40 degrees.

How to position your baby on to the pillow?
Place your baby's head and shoulders on to the pillow, as per the image on the packaging. Safety is a shared responsibility. Although this product has been manufactured according to all safety standards and requirements, we need your help in order to keep your child safe and failure to follow these instructions for use may cause serious injury or damage to your child. To prevent serious injury or death:

Not intended for carrying baby.

Pay special attention to warnings for safety, in order to prevent possible injury to your child.

Examine product frequently for damage, missing or loose parts. Do not use if product is damaged.

Always place your baby to sleep on their back as recommended by health officials.

NEVER use this product on counter-tops, tables on or near steps or on other elevated surfaces.

IMPORTANT

All foam products are packed for safety and transportation and require time when unpacked to return to original shape and size.

Please remove the product from all packaging and allow to air for a period of 48 hours before use.

Optimum room temperature for best performance should be 18°C.
